This notice explains what personal information SHIELD collects through this website, what it's used for and the choices you have. SHIELD only collects what it needs to answer your enquiry, arrange a demo and run the site well, and it never sells personal information.

Who SHIELD is

This website is run by Hummingbird Insurance Services Ltd, trading as SHIELD, registered in England and Wales, company number 15318677. Registered office: Unit 8, Sussex Business Village, Barnham, Bognor Regis PO22 0AL. Hummingbird Insurance Services Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here.

What SHIELD collects

• When you book a demo or a review: your name, work email, company, phone number and number of vehicles, and if you choose to give them, the tracking and camera systems you use and your RHA membership number.
• When you email SHIELD: whatever you include in your email.
• If you accept analytics cookies: how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, through Google Analytics and HubSpot. HubSpot uses the network address a visit comes from to show which companies have visited, and if you then book a demo or a review, it links your request to the pages you read.

What it's used for

• Answering your enquiry and arranging a demo or review
• Sending you information about SHIELD that's relevant to what you asked about
• Understanding how the site is used and improving it, only if you accept analytics cookies
• Keeping the site and SHIELD's systems secure

SHIELD may also contact businesses it believes could benefit from SHIELD. You can ask SHIELD to stop contacting you at any time.

The legal basis

Depending on what the information is used for, SHIELD relies on:

• your consent, for analytics cookies
• its legitimate interests in running and improving the business, such as answering a demo request and following it up
• performing a contract, or taking steps you ask for before one
• complying with the law

Emails from SHIELD

If you ask for a demo or for information, SHIELD may email you about products and services relevant to what you asked about. You can stop these at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing hello@shieldmyfleet.com.

Who it's shared with

SHIELD never sells personal information. It shares it only with the service providers that help run the business, who handle it on SHIELD's behalf under contract and with security in place:

• HubSpot, which keeps SHIELD's contacts, receives the website's forms and, only if you accept analytics cookies, shows which companies visit
• Netlify, which hosts the website and its forms
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies
• YouTube, only if you press play on the film

How long it's kept

Only for as long as it's needed for the reasons above, to meet legal obligations and to settle any disputes.

Keeping it secure

SHIELD takes appropriate technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No way of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so SHIELD can't guarantee it.

Your rights

You can ask SHIELD to:

• give you a copy of the personal information it holds about you
• correct anything that's wrong
• delete your information, where that applies
• limit how it's used, or stop using it for some purposes
• pass it to you or another organisation, where that applies

SHIELD updates this notice when the way it handles personal information changes. The date at the top shows the last update.
